Alexa Tetik

Alexa Tetik is a junior at the University of Pennsylvania, where she is majoring in Sociology with a concentration in Family, Gender, and Society. Since her freshman year, she has worked as a Research Assistant at the Crossroads Women’s Center in Germantown, Philadelphia, focusing primarily on cataloging and digitizing materials for the Wages for Housework (WFH) Community Archives. The WFH campaign, shaped by the various autonomous groups that formed within it, has long fought to get the essential work of care and housework recognized and valued. In collaboration with her peers, Alexa has helped create exhibits and presentations that showcase the grassroots activism of those who have been at the forefront of this struggle. She is also active in local community organizing efforts and is passionate about using storytelling as a form of activism.
